In response to an overwhelming demand — it doesn’t take much to overwhelm us — we’re re-releasing the cut-and-fold (and tape!) Christmas ornament from our 2012 album release party for A Very Chaise Lounge Christmas. Here’s a link: Download ornament.
We wish you a very happy holiday season!
Greetings from Chaise Lounge. We are closed for business right now -along with the rest of the world. But that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a recent live show. This one was shot in Allentown PA’s Miller Symphony Hall. Oh that is Dan Haverstock subbing for Joe on this gig. He did a great job. Donna Fritchey from Allentown sent this too us and we want to share it with you. It will remind you- not that we need reminding right now- of how beautiful it is to be out with others playing music with others, listening to music with others. Stay safe and we will see you all soon.
Jeff Gray, our new sax player, was baptized into the Chaise Lounge recording whirlwind by recording the parts to eight songs in one mondo recording session
Two days of amazing performances occurred over the last week. First Jeff Gray and Joe Jackson put down the horn parts on ALL the songs in one mammoth session. Next Marilyn came in and magically, effortlessly and beautifully laid down the lead vocal tracks for all the songs in one four hour session. It sounds impossible. Ken Schubert, our engineer, was in near-disbelief.
Jeff Gray on sax and Joe Jackson, trombone, were at work last night on the new Chaise Lounge Christmas Album. It is tentatively called “Out Under the Sky”, which comes from the lyrics to the Appalachian ballad, “I Wonder as I Wander.” It is a song that will be on the album.
Here is Charlie in the studio. Glockenspiel and accordion are surefire signifiers that we’re working on another Christmas album!
